Hi,

With regard to Reliability monitoring, what drives the activity?

Is it only process or design change? Is it a requirement of the JEDEC to do it? How often are part families evaluated?

Does the JEDEC requriements include a monitoring program where testing that was performed during qualification is repeated on production runs? Perhaps at a set frequency or as required by design or process change? Is it TI's policy to regularly run qualification like testing on their products to ensure that product meets the quality of that which was subjected to qualification testing?

Our Quality Handbook is a good reference for all things related to quality and reliability. On every Product Folder page is a link to Quality standards and practices. If you click on 'View' for any of the Quality specifications, you will go to the Quality & Reliability page, and along the left side of the page are links to the various Quality Standards and Procedures.

For this particular question, click on the Reliability Testing page: www.ti.com/lsds/ti/quality/reliability/reliability_testing.page and you'll see that every wafer produced undergoes an accelerated life test. So the question as to whether these tests are monitored, the answer is YES, and in accordance with the JEDEC standards listed.
