Hi,

Now I'm studying how to calculate power consumption of logic devices. I checked FAQ in logic forum and checked app note SCAA035B. Then I studied that Dynamic power-dissipation capacitance is needed to know to calculate power consumption, Cpd. So can you explain how to know Cpd for each logic devices? Now I actually want to know Cpd of SN74LVT245B.

    The same app note of CMOS power consumption lists the calculation of Cpd done in the lab.
    It can be deduced by measuring the Icc and back calculating the Cpd using :
    Cpd = Icc /( Vcc*freq) - CLeff.
    The datasheet does not have the test conditions listed for Cpd as well as the Cpd numbers , however , referring to test conditions of other similar logic devices like the SN74LVC245A .
