SN74AHCT541: Noise characteristics specification

Hello support team,

My customer is considering to use SN74AHCT541PWR.
They need to compare noise characteristics with ohter device, but the SN74AHCT541 datasheet does not have this specification.
However, I can see the noise characateristics in the datasheet of SN74AHCT16541 which is 16bit version of SN74AHCT541.

Could you let me know whether same noise specification can be applied to SN74AHCT541?

These noise characteristics are measured with all other outputs switching (see SZZA036), so they are likely to be different for a device with a different number of outputs.

Hi Kaizawa-san,

The noise margins for logic devices are defined as V_IL and V_IH. This is the "Noise Characteristics" table from the old SN74AHCT541 datasheet:

These values were not removed from the datasheet, but they were moved to a standard location in the Recommended Operating Conditions table:

I guess this question is about the other three parameters, V_OL(P), V_OL(V), and V_OH(V).

Yes, I also need to know VOL(P), VOL(V), and VOH(V) for SN74AHCT541.

Hi Kaizawa-san,
This is something that isn't specified or tested for the SN74AHCT541, so I cannot guarantee anything. Most logic devices only have VOH/VOL specified.

I can, however, say that the SN74AHCT541 is built on the same technology as the SN74AHCT16541, and I would expect to see the same or better performance on this device.
