SN74LVT244B: Rise time

Part Number: SN74LVT244B

Dear all,

in the document SCEA002A, there is an overview of the LVT family: in figure 13 and in figure 14 the rise time and fall time vs. temperature is showed.

Both rise and fall time have value less than 2ns, which are good for the requirements of the application of my AA customer.

Unfortunately I cannot find any DS of the the LVT family which shows that value. In most of the case the rise time has just a spec as max value (10ns).

Were the values in the SCEA002A just typical ? If not can you indicate a buffer, 3.3V which has a Trise comparable wih the one showed int the SCEA002A ?

regards,

Domenico

  • Hi Domenico,
As far as I know, the output transition rate isn't specified in any of the LVT family datasheets - you might be confusing it with the input transition rate that is specified in the recommended operating conditions.

The plots shown in the "LVT Family Characteristics" are for the output drivers common to all LVT devices, so anything in the family will exhibit similar behavior. Note that these switching characteristics were taken at a "no load" condition, so the customer will see a slower response depending on their load condition.
