SN74AHC1G32: Schmitt-Trigger Action

Part Number: SN74AHC1G32

Hi,

Datasheet of this logic shows that this device has "Schmitt-Trigger Action" at top page.
But "Input transition rise and fall rate" are described in datasheet of page 4.

Is this logic supported Schmitt-Trigger?
and what does the described which is "Schmitt-Trigger Action" in datasheet mean?

Best regards,
Shimizu

  • Hello Shimizu-san,
"Schmitt-trigger action" is a marketing term that essentially means "a very small amount of hysteresis"

This does not mean the device has Schmitt-trigger inputs, and only indicates that the device is more resilient to slow or noisy inputs than other similar devices.
