SN74AUC2G34: Can I use this part as a clock buffer.

I need a clock buffer that will provide switchable 1.2V or 1.8V CMOS output swing. I propose to use the 74AUC2G34 with switchable supply to select the output level. Source clock is 1.8V CMOS and as I understand 2G34 inputs are over voltage tolerant at this level. However, this part is not characterized as a clock buffer but I would like to know the period and phase jitter. Any possibility that this information is available?

Hi,

Can I get a bit more information on the applications for this part?
I want to know what voltage supply range this part will be operating on, the frequency or frequency range of operation and the edge rate.
I can get you the period and phase jitter within a couple of weeks.

Hi,
The application is driving the reference clock input of a custom SOC. This 24MHz clock is the reference for on-chip clock generation.
This SOC IO can operate at 1.8V or 1.2V and operation is to be evaluated at both voltage levels.
The chip team is a bit elusive on the edge rate, but I am looking for something on the order of 1ns.
The jitter specification is <=300ps period jitter, <=20ps rms 10K-2M.

Hello,
Can you give a tolerance for the supplies?

We can test at nominal (1.8V and 1.2V exactly), but in my experience most systems have up to 10% margin on supplies, and performance can be significantly different at the -10% mark.
