CD4033B: Need spice model for 4033

Part Number: CD4033B

Is there a spice model for the CD4033B or the 4026?  I need to spice model for the 4033 to greate a custom component for multisim.  Thanks for any help or gudiance.

  • Hello, and welcome to the forums!
No, I'm afraid that the CD4k family has very little modelling support. Additionally, we don't really support models for clocked devices like the 4033 and 4026. PSpice just wasn't developed to handle digital circuits very well.

I can help with an equivalent circuit for the inputs and the outputs, but the functionality isn't something I can reliably model in PSpice (without making your simulation take weeks to complete).
  • Thanks! I was attempting to create a custom component in NI Multisim. I was able to create an equivalent circuit with a combination of two other 4000 series ICs. I was able to mimic the 5 digit counter display functions I needed with this combination. Unfortunately, the overall characteristics of the simulation do not produce the same test values. NI has libraries for a few of the 4000 and 7400 series but it is limited. I was not able to find a library for LTSpice that had the 4033 or 4026 either. Even the spice libraries avaialbe from TI had many of the 4000s and 7400s but neither of the 4026 or 4033. I was able to accomplish the task I needed. I appreciate you time and quick response.
