TINA/Spice/CD4069UB: Change of VDD of CD4069UB in OrCAD

Part Number: CD4069UB
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI,

Tool/software: TINA-TI or Spice Models

Hi dears

I need to use CD069UB in my simulation project with OrCAD P spice. In my project the VDD of IC must to be 15 v. I selected CD4069 from CD4000 library in OrCAD software. it seems that default VDD of CD4069 is +5v.

my first question is:

How can I change the VDD of CD4069 to 15 v ?

---------------------------------------------------------------

I checked the ti.com for finding the library of CD4069 that is designed by Texas Instruments, unfortunately the cite dose not has its library.

my second question is:

Is there any P spice library for CD4069UB that has good performance (except CD4000 library) and I be able to change its VDD to +15 or other values?

Thanks all

  • Hi Mohammad,

I don't know what type of model OrCAD uses for their CD4069 representation - it's likely just a very basic 5V inverter.

There is no PSpice model for this device due to its age. We recommend prototyping rather than simulation for circuits with this device.  There's an EVM available from here:

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

  • Thanks a lot

In gate library i find CD4069 and by the path: "right click >edit component > show hide pins" i see the source pins of the component so i connect source pins with a battery and ground, so I give my answer.

    Thank you
