We are looking for alternate part for SN74LVC1T45-Q1 with Dual bit and Dual direction selection part.

For UART design, Checking for level translator , Suggesting part should be automotive qualified and ESD protected device.

What you are looking for is referred to as a "direction controlled voltage level translator" and can be found through our parametric search website, located here:

I pre-filtered a list for you on the parametrics table using "Automotive" and "LVC" as the primary constraints:

It looks like the SN74LVC2T45-Q1 will be the best solution for you if you can use a part with a single direction pin, otherwise you will need to use 2 of the SN74LVC1T45-Q1 devices.

Hi Maier,

SN74LVC2T45-Q1 part is ESD protected device ??, Because i couldn't find any information related to ESD in datasheet.

Already in design we are using two Single bit SN74LVC1T45-Q1 device.

Hello Bala,

Yes, the SN74LVC2T45-Q1 is an ESD protected device, and meets the same level of ESD performance as the SN74LVC1T45-Q1.

Unfortunately the 2T45 device does not have dual direction capability.

What voltages are you needing translation for?

We also have the SN74AXC1T45-Q1 which is a new device that could be an option for your design for bidirectional switching and has a higher level of HBM and CDM ESD protection.

Hi Michael,

Looking for 5V to 3.3V and wise versa. UART voltage translation with Dual bit and dual direction selection Like, A--> B and B-->A

There is no two-channel device with two DIR pins.

You might be able to use the TXS0102-Q1, which compromises on speed and allowed load capacitance in order to enable automatic direction sensing. (It has quite high ESD protection on the B port.)

Clemens is correct that if you want to do this with one device then the TXS0102-Q1 is the best option, but will have limited speed.

UART can range in speed but typically is lower speed and the TXS0102-Q1 device should be able to support your needs.

Otherwise two of the SN74LVC1T45-Q1 is probably the best option.
