SN74GTLPH16912: SN74GTLPH16912GR Control inputs termination

Part Number: SN74GTLPH16912

Hi

If I use the direction of SN74GTLPH16912GR from B to A, what would be the termination to be followed for control signals i.e, CLKAB, LEAB, OEABn and CEABn?

Regards

Srikanth Kacchu

  • Hi Srikanth,

There is a truthtable provided in the datasheet for A to B. If you notice the first footnote, it mentions that the same table can be applied to direction B to A.

    Thanks!

  • Hi Karan

    Thanks for the response.

I read the note provided below the truth table. But my concern is, as per the datasheet, when data flow is shown from A to B it doesn't say anything about the termination of B to A control signals.

  • Hi Srikanth,

The second statement in the footnote clarifies this.

"The condition when OEAB and OEBA are both low at the same time is not recommended."

This implies that when direction of data flow is A to B then OEAB is Low and OEBA is High.

According to the truth table, when the OE pin is High, the rest of the control logic is a don't care. So you can tie the remainder of the control logic, either high or low. Just make sure to not leave them floating.

    Thanks!
