TXS0108E: VCCA min changed to 1.4V

Part Number: TXS0108E
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74AXC8T245

Hi,

Good day. I hope everything is fine.

Our customer is designing a product with bidirectional level translation from 1.2 to 3.3 V and have chosen TXS0108 translator. However, today they have noticed, that the minimum input logic level voltage has changed to 1.4 V. Will the device no longer work with 1.2V and if yes,  they would like to know why?

I would appreciate if you could help us provide this information with the customer.

I hope to hear from you soon.

Regards,

Cedrick

  • Hi Cedrick,

Everything is alright so far! and hope its good for you too!

Yes, we recently updated the datasheet to 1.4V min Vcc support from 1.2V as we found during extensive validation that the 1.2V support cannot be guaranteed across process , temp corners satisfying all the datasheet electrical specifications.

I can help with providing a different level translation solution in case you provide more info on the application requirements.

could the customer consider SN74AXC8T245 ( 8 channel 0.65 <> 3.6V buffered level translator) with DIR control?
