SN74LVC1GX04: Can't get oscillator to oscillate

Hi Folks,

I want to use this device in my design, but have had a very difficult time getting it to oscillate.

The case no is: CS0194297, it shows the steps I've taken to try to get it to work, the Crystal Digikey Part Number is: SER4312CT-ND, it's a 120KHz crystal.

I've wrestled with cap and resistor values, changing out ic's, etc, with no success, if anyone else has used this device and gotten it to work consistently I could use your help.

Hi Steve,

Are you seeing any oscillations on this circuit at all? Is the XOSC ringing? Is the SN74LVC1GX04 stuck High or Low? If you can provide any scope shots they would be really helpful.
