SN74LVCC3245A: LVTTL to TTL level shifter

Part Number: SN74LVCC3245A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74LVC8T245, SN74AHCT541

Hi team,

My customer looks for LVTTL to TTL level shifter (greater than 4bit is preferable).

For now, I'm promoting SN74LVCC3245A.

Could you please propose any successor device or other recommended device for LVTTL to TTL level shifting?

Best regards,

Shota Mago

  • The high-level output voltages of LVTTL and TTL are identical (3.3 V).

If your customer actually wants to shift to 5 V CMOS voltage levels, then you can use any LVC level shifter (the SN74LVC8T245 has slightly better characteristics than the SN74LVCC3245A). With 3.3 V input signals, it is also possible to use any buffer with TTL-compatible inputs, e.g., SN74AHCT541. (LVC has higher drive strength than AHC and is somewhat faster, but if you do not need this, then using AHC can reduce EMI noise.)
