Hi Team,

In one of our customer application they wanted the LVTH output to be always ‘high’ whenever the gate enable signal is removed.

Is it allowed to put a pull-up resistor to LVTH output (image attached)? If yes then what is the value of R which will override the bus hold and ensure a logical high output?

Hey Shinu,

It isn't recommended to have pull-ups/pull-downs on I/Os with bus-hold, but sometimes it's necessary in certain scenarios as with this one. The Ii(hold) min spec tell you how much current is need to overdrive the bus hold circuit to change the state. You can use this value to size your resistor.

Only the inputs have bus-hold circuits.

The resistor needs to overcome only the output's leakage current of at most 100 µA.
