SN74LVC2G125: Rising edge/Failing edge with higher overshoot

Part Number: SN74LVC2G125

Hi Team,

My customer used SN74LVC2G125 for half-duplex & full-duplex logic transfer,  but reported an unexpected overshoot in rising/failing edge,  could you kindly help double check the schematic and give comments?

 Schematic shown as below:

And the test waveform shown as below:

   Expect for your reply, thanks.

Best Regards

Benjamin

  • Hi Benjamin,

I have a lot of questions that need to be answered before I can help here:

    • Where is the probe placed at in the above scope shots?
    • Also, what is the reason for placing the FB7 (ferrite bead) in the circuit? What is its value?
    • What is the value of the supply VCC_WIRE in the circuit?
    • Which of the supplies is used to power U9? 3.3V or 5V?
    • What are pins 2, 3, 5 & 6 connected to outside of what is shown on the schematic?

My very first guess here is that the FB7 is causing some signal bounce, but I'm not entirely sure. It could be tested if you just short the connection to see if the problem persists, but again, I need quite a bit more information before I can help.

    Thanks!
