TXB0102: Can this device support SPI translation at 12MHz? 5V to 3.3V.

I would like to know if TXB0102 can support SPI translation at 12MHz? I see significant distortion at 12MHz and as I reduce the SPI frequency the distortion gets better and better.

Distortion of output waveform - This is the dataline.

Waveforms when freq is reduced to 500KHz

Please clarify if I can use this chip for SPI translation.

Hey Harini,

This device can be used for SPI but it's also easily influenced by the loading due to its auto direction sensing architecture. If you are only doing down translation with unidirectional signals, you can use the SN74LVC2G34 device which is a dual buffer with over voltage tolerant inputs.

Thanks Dylan. Since I already have this as part of the circuit, would you suggest any modification that can improve the performance of this chip?

My best recommendation would be to reduce the capacitive loading as much as possible.
