Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN54HC02
I'm looking for the junction-to-case thermal resistance of SN54AC32, specifically SNJ54AC32W. Thanks-

Hi Suzanne,
I have submitted this request to my thermal modelling team. It usually takes 2 weeks to get this back, but with it being the end of the year, it may take a bit longer.
Do you expect to be consuming a lot of power through this OR gate during operation? I don't see them used for power delivery or high speed apps very often.
We'll definitely get that model for you, but to save you time I can give you an idea of the value we should get back -- maybe you can get an estimate & work with that for now.
I pulled values from a similar gate (SN54HC02, W package):
RθJC(top) = 89.6 °C/W
RθJB = 164.1 °C/W
RθJC(bot) = 15.5 °C/W
Great, thank you- this will help in building an initial approximate thermal model and analysis in the meantime
Hey Suzanne,
The official values are in, and they are pretty close to what I gave you, as expected:
Result- Theta JA-High K (standard datasheet value): | 169.5 |
Result-Theta JC, top (standard datasheet value): | 85.5 |
Result-Theta JB (standard datasheet value): | 159.7 |
Result- Psi JT (standard datasheet value): | 63.0 |
Result- Psi JB (standard datasheet value): | 144.1 |
Result-Theta JC, bottom (standard datasheet value): | 17.1 |
