SN74AXC8T245-Q1: Can you leave pin 23 floating?

Part Number: SN74AXC8T245-Q1

e2e,

I had an understanding that VCCB_1(pin23) and VCCB_2(pin24) were tied separately, so that VCCB_1 powers bit 1 to 4 and VCCB_2 powers bit 5-8. However, from the datasheet it seems like VCCB pin 23 and pin 24 is common for bit 1-8. So in order to solve the issue on our current board, I am exploring a few different solutions. We had a couple of questions:

  1. Could you confirm if Pin 23 and Pin 24 are connected internally?
  2. Could you also confirm if we remove pin 23 connection in the assembly process, pin 24 alone is good enough for 30Hz signal connection on input? On the output we are using 5 ports.
  3. Also, if we remove pin 23 connection, is it okay to leave that pin floating and just use pin 24?

Thank you,

Adam
