SN74AS869: Need equivalent part

Part Number: SN74AS869

I have used "SN74AS869DW" part in our existing design to generate 7.813KHz, 1MHz, 32MHz, 16MHz and 8MHz clock and it will support 5V logic only.

Now, I need a counter to generate the same clocks. But, It have to support 3.3V and 5V logic. Can you please suggest the suitable part number for this requirement?

I would recommend to use our parametric search feature on TI.com to find a list of parts that support your application. I narrowed down a list of counters for you at the below link by selecting the supply range (minimum less than 3.3, max greater than 5):

Another option would be to continue to use the SN74AS869, and just use a voltage translator to change the input or output to 5V or 3.3V.

I have searched in your website and found the below part number.

"SN74LV163APWR"

It supports 2.5V, 3.3V and 5V. Please let me know, can I use this part to generate 1MHz, 32MHz, 16MHz and 8MHz at 3.3V logic and 5V logic?

I'm glad you found a device that matches your requirements.

The maximum clock frequency is listed in the datasheet for this device:

These values are listed as "f_max - minimum" to indicate that the device will operate "at least" at the listed frequency. You can see in the typical values that the actual operating frequency of the device can be much larger than this minimum value.

we can use this to generate the Max of 32MHz and Min of 7.813KHz clocks at 3.3V and 5V logic.

Please let me know can we use this part for new designs?
