SN74AVC20T245 / consumption current of all port (max value)

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74AVC20T245

Hi all.

My customer uses the device in this case.
・VCCA=3.3V,VCCB=1.8V
・B port  to A port (Fix)

SN74AVC20T245 has many ports.
I would like to know the max value of all port consumption current.

I think the max value of "ICCA + ICCB' in the data sheet P.5 is all port consumption current.
Is this value is max consumption current?

Best Regards,
Sho Ogane

  • Sho,

Yes you are correct, the max value of "ICCA + ICCB' in the data sheet P.5 is all port consumption current.  However, this is not the maximum consumption current possible for the device.  The maximum current consumption is the static current consumption (ICCA + ICCB') plus the dynamic current consumption.  The dynamic current consumption can be calculated using the power dissipation capacitance table on page 8 of the datasheet.

You can look at this application note that will explain in further detail.  CMOS Power Consumption and Cpd Calculation
