SN74AUP1G07 VCC is grounded and power is applied to Y pin

Can you tell me the behavior of the SN74AUP1G07 when VCC is grounded and power is applied to Y pin? Is there a diode between these pins (Anode on Y and Cathode on VCC)?

I ask because of this specification isn’t clear to me

Thank you,

Jay

  • Hi Jay ,

There is no concern when Vcc is 0V since this supports Ioff partial power down mode . The device has diode to Vcc but it is masked when Vcc =0 by the Ioff protection circuitry .

Does this mean zero backflow, or that it is limited so that it does not cause damage to the device?
  • In reply to Jay Jang:

There will not be absolute zero backflow (given by the Ioff spec ) but the device and the system connected to this wont be accidently powering up due to power on inputs and outputs .

    -Thanks,

    Shreyas
