Analog Switch used for I2C/UART

Hi

Is it possible to use TS5A21366 or SN74LV4066A for the signal like I2C (SCL, SDA) or UART (RX, TX).
I just want to know the concern if there are problems.

For example, SN74LV4066A has larger resistance than TS5A21366. Could it be a problem?

  • Don't care about the resistance for digital signals - even some hundred ohms wouldn't be a problem here. Both types can be used. Do you want to switch on/off the signals or do you want to route them to different endpoints? If so, a cheap multiplexer like the CD74HC4053 would be an option as well.
