Hi,

My customer is using SN74LV14A.
He wants to know about internal circuit of input pin.
Especially, He wants to know about ESD protection circuit of input.

Could you give me the information of internal circuit for ESD protection of input pin, please?

    As shown in sections 7.1 and 7.3 of the datasheet, the inputs are overvoltage tolerant, i.e., they are allowed to go up to 5.5 V even if VCC is lower. This implies that there are no ESD protection diodes from the inputs to VCC.

    But the inputs are not allowed to go below GND, and there is a specification for input clamp current if you do go lower. This implies that there are ESD protection diodes from GND to the inputs.
