SN74LS245: Is SN74LS245 IC accept DIR,OE in 3.3V range as high signal ?

Hi,

I am giving DIR as 3.3volt, Is the IC accept 3.3volt as a high voltage and IC perform data transmission from A to B?

What will be the high and low voltage range of control signal(DIR,OE)?

Hello,

Assuming you have a 5V supply connected to VCC, a 3.3V signal on the input is considered HIGH.
This is a TTL compatible device, which means that the inputs interpret voltages greater than 2V as an input HIGH, and voltages less than 0.8V as an input LOW.

This device is a relatively older technology, however, so i might recommend using a slightly different device. If you still want 5V VCC compatibility and TTL voltage levels, then I would recommend using the SN74AHCT245:

This device will have much lower power consumption as compared to the SN74LS245, and it will work in an equivalent manner.
