 i have been working on the reference design of TIDA-00626. have developed the board. In BOM SN74AHCT244 was mentioned as U9. but in the datasheet of TIDA-00626 the SN74AHCT244 IC has not been placed. Should i place it or should i skip it. please let me know the same

  • Hi Pratik,
    It looks like they included the SN74AHCT244 to translate from 3.3V outputs on the MSP430 to the 5V inputs of another device.

    If you need to do a 3.3V signal up to 5V conversion, you will want to include a voltage translator (I would actually recommend using a dual supply translator like SN74LVC8T245 because it will reduce total power consumption)
