CD74AC253: DURING POWER UP THE STATE OF THIS COMPONENT

Part Number: CD74AC253

HI, WE ARE PLANING TO USE CD74AC253 PART IN OUR DESIGN. WE WANT TO KNOW WHETHER THIS COMPONENT SUPPORT NO GLITCH ON POWER UP.  THE HIGH IMPEDANCE STATE DURING POWER UP AND POWER DOWN.

  • Hello,
The CD74AC253 was not characterized for 'glitch-free' startup (very few standard logic devices are).

I cannot guarantee that the device will startup or shutdown without any glitches on the outputs.

It is best to startup/shutdown the device with the OE\ pins held HIGH with a pull-up resistor to minimize startup/shutdown glitches. This will ensure that the outputs enter high-impedance as long as the device has a sufficient bias voltage to operate.
