Part Number: CD4093B

We are manufacturing Electronic Ballast. This is the PFC section we are using in our product .

This one is our Regulator circuit diagram. We have highlighted the ic's we are we are using that.

2) Input /output scope captures.

    Hello,

    Previously we where using HEF4093BE . but now PHILIPS part is discontinue .So we have ordered equivalent of that CD4093 BE. But that same part is not working in our system. Why is it so? It is just a Nand Gate . Our product is Electronic Ballast

    I can try to help you narrow down the problem, but we will have to look at exactly what's going wrong.

    Have you done any troubleshooting?
    What do the inputs/outputs to each NAND gate look like on an oscilloscope? Is the NAND gate performing the NAND function?
    We're primarily looking for slow or multiple edges or voltages that don't meet VIH/VIL.

    Hi Emrys,

    We have attached some photos and videos of Drives that we seen on HEF4093 and CD4093. PIC No 1. is Input Drive at Pin No. 1, PIC No. 2. it Pin No. Input Drive at Pin No. 2, PIC No. 3 is Out Put Drive at Pin No. 3.

    I think there's a disconnect in communication here.

    I need to see the inputs and outputs of the device on the SAME scope shot... The operation of this device depends on the input and output voltages, and the timing of the input signals. On separate displays, I cannot see how the timing is arranged, and I can't tell anything regarding the operation of the device.

    Hi Pooja,

    Each scope shot still only has one input or output. I can't tell anything from this.

    Here's an example of a scope shot with both inputs and the output in the same picture:

    It is very easy to see in this shot that there is about 10ns of delay from the trigger of the output to the output actually going low.
