SN74AVC32T245: What's the differnet from SN74AVC32T245 49W & 2CJ

Part Number: SN74AVC32T245

Hi

I have an issue that we guess the SN74AVC32T245 have two type, maybe there action or pin assignment seems differnet.

Could you tell me the differnet bwtween them?

Where can I find the spec? Because I can't find the key word that "49W" "ALEL" "2CJ" or "A02S" in spec.

thanks you

  • After verification,it's differnet .

  • Hello,

There are only 3 possible part numbers that can be ordered for the SN74AVC32T245. If these are the ZKE or the GKE packages, then the difference between them would be their manufacturing(packaging and assembly site). There is no difference is pin assignment or function. The top side marking letters you are looking for refer to the date and assembly site of manufacturing. The spec for the devices are guaranteed by the datasheet.

    Thanks!

  • The "WY245" indicates that these are SN74AVC32T245 devices. They are electrically the same device.

The other markings are lot trace codes to help identify the origin of a part. TI makes devices worldwide, and sometimes a device must be tracked back to its origin. Where were these parts procured from? There are rare instances of parts being counterfeited, but that usually only happens when ordered through a third party distributor instead of a major distributor.

Can you tell me what difference you have seen? What are your test conditions?
  • I think it's the DIR pin's problem.

When I using 49W level shift, the DIR floating ,but the board current seems fine.

When I using 2CJ level shift, the DIR floating ,the board have high current.

The 49W have three boards, all seems fine.(The third board was 2CJ ,but after changed by 49W, then it's work fine.)

The DIR pin have different between 2CJ and 49W?(pull high or low inside?)

If not, I think It's just lucky that when 49W 's DIR is floating ,three board dir it's just what I needed.

  • The reason why floating it's my board have two part, the other part it's very expensive, so I separate them th test.
    That cause dir pin floating.
  • CMOS inputs should never be left floating. If you have a circumstance where they might be, it's best to add a large pull-down resistor (100kohm works) to those inputs to prevent this condition.
