SN74LVC1G11-EP: SN74LVC little logics

Part Number: SN74LVC1G11-EP

Hi,

I have some questions regarding the protection circuit (if there are any) for the little logic family:

  • Question 1: Are there input protection diodes integrated in the SN74LVC components, to DGND and to VCC ?
  • Question 2: Can we have the equivalent circuit of an SN74LVC component input port ?
  • Question 3: Are there output protection diodes integrated in the SN74LVC components, to DGND and to VCC ?
  • Question 4: Can we have the equivalent circuit of an SN74LVC component output port?

Thanks and regards

Annais

  • LVC inputs have protection diodes only to ground, and are overvoltage tolerant:

LVC outputs have IOFF protection, and protection diodes to both VCC and GND (the images below show only one feature each):

  • Thanks Clemens.
    Annais,
This can also be inferred from the absolute max table.
The VI spec does not included a VCC component to max voltage. (such as Vcc +0.5 as one would have with traditional diode to VCC)
The output diode can be seen from the Vo spec, as it has Vcc +0.5 in the abs max table.

    Regards,
    Wade
