Hi Sir,

Here are two Switching between SIM cards processes questions need your help.

1. How to put SIMx card interface into "clock stop" mode?

2. There are two scenarios when switching to SIM2 card are described on the datasheet. SIM2 may be in power off mode or clock stop mode. Could we set SIM2 is in clock stop mode after power up? We want to prevent to go through a power up sequence after switching SIMx card.

Hi Teresa,

1. Figure 3 in the datasheet shows the Sim1 interface in a 'clock stop' mode.

2. I don't see any issues with powering it up leaving it in clock stop mode and then isolating it while sim 1 is active.

Thanks for your reply, but I still have question on below.

1. Figure 3 in the datasheet shows the Sim1 interface in a 'clock stop' mode.

=> What I mean is how to set the register to let SimX into 'clock stop' mode?

Hi Teresa,

The baseband should be responsible for initiating the clock stop mode. It isn't a mode the device can be put in by writing to the registers.
