Dear E2E,

Could we use SN74LVC1G07 to operate in down translation from 3v3 to 1v8 application?

the input source is 3v3 as open drain type of driver and pullup through 300k to 3v3 and output is 1v8.

i think we need to use 1v8 as bias power voltage for SN74LVC1G07, but i am not sure if input voltage is higher than bias power pin. any concern?

in addition, what is the leakage current at input pin?

For downtranslation, you can use any buffer with an overvoltage-tolerant input, e.g., SN74LVC1G07/17/34/125, or other families like AUP/AUC.

The leakage current is specified as I_I in the datasheet.

just want to double confirm again.

customer uses pullup 300k to 3v3 with open drain type of driver as input source and they want to down translation to 1v8.

so, the bias power pin should be connected to 1v8. right?

if so, is it ok to accept input 3v3?

Hey Jason,

You should use the SN74LVC1G34 with a supply of 1.8 V and this will perform what you want with needing a pull-up.

Hi Jason,

I meant to say without needing a pull-up, my apologies. This will save them board space and provide them faster transition rates at the output.
