Part Number: SN74LV165A
My customer would like to use SN74LV165A to support OCP 3.0 Scan Chain as below figure.
Now they provide 3.3V Vcc power to SN74LV165A and would like to use 12.5Mhz clock frequency for CLK pin.
But the spec shows that it require minimum 50 Mhz frequency.
Do you know what would be the impact if they use the clock frequency lower than 50M hz? Thank you.
The parameter fmax is the maximum frequency. The value is specified in the "MIN" column because TI guarantees that the maximum frequency is at least 50 MHz. The actual maximum frequency might be higher, but this fmax is what you can achieve in the worst case.
There is no lower limit on the frequency.
We are glad that we were able to resolve this issue, and will now proceed to close this thread.
