TXB0108: How to read input from TXB0108DQS devices

Hi,

We are using a hardware that conatins "TXB0108DQS" level shifter. 14 th pin of this chip is connected to one of our GPIO. I need to read status of this GPIO from kernel, but kernerl doesnot have /sys/class/gpio. in file system.

So if I read TXB0108DQS register it may help. Can you guide me on this to read status of GPIO.

The TXB is a pure hardware device and can be read only with hardware mechanisms.

That GPIO pin is the only way to read the value.
Please note that the /sys/class/gpio files are deprecated, and you should use the character device API (see the example programs).
