SN74LVC2G07: The input is about -570mv a little larger than the datasheet spec -0.5v, Does it has risks and what's the risks?

Part Number: SN74LVC2G07

Hi team,

My customer is using the SN74LVC2G07 now. The input is about -570mv a little larger than the datasheet spec -0.5v, Does it has risks and what's the risks?

  • Hi Frank,

If you add a series resistor to the input, then it should be fine. This will limit the current that could potentially conduct through the negative clamp diode. Note 2 under the abs max table refers to this. The current should be limited to remain under the max input clamp current (Iik).
