SN74AXC8T245-Q1: skew parameter

Part Number: SN74AXC8T245-Q1

Hi

There is no skew parameter in SN74AXC8T245-Q1 datasheet, and TI engineers has ever said that typical channel-to-channel  skew is 150ps-200ps for 1.8V← →3.3V case, my question is that:

1. whether I can use 150ps-200ps as the design basis?

2. why TI doesn't put this skew parameter in datasheet, so the customers can use this parameter more easily and confident?

Thanks.

Gavin.

  • Hi Gavin,

150-200ps is typical and not guaranteed by characterization or design. For the worst case, you can consider 1ns max.

the skew was not in in the initial scope of design and it changes depending on various factors ( loading, temp, process, package, voltage of operation, frequency of operation ).

Thank you for the feedback and I will let the systems engineer know about it for our future development.
