My problem is that I only know how to use Multisim, and the Programme does not have the Ripple Counters as part of its component library.

I'll prepare a sketch manually tonight and get back to you if that is OK?

Drawing by hand may be beneficial as well. Your capacitor placement looks good to me (close proximity is better). I'm just trying to confirm that the devices are set up correctly for the correct frequency division that you are trying to achieve.

With other sections of the larger circuit, of which this circuit is a part, I have been advised to add dual capacitors to ground and did not know whether I should be doing this on this section also?
