SN74AVC4T245: some questions about SN74AVC4T245

Part Number: SN74AVC4T245
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74AXC4T245, SN74AUP3G17

Hi team,

My customer wants to use the device SN74AVC4T245, but also has several questions below.

1. Whether we need to follow the slew rate spec below for the input signal?  If the slew rate is lower than the spec, how to make the circuit be ok?

2. VCCA and VCCB, If we give the 3.3V first, then give the 1.8v, whether it's ok? What's the device's status now?

3. Currently we have two boards, if one board is powered off, another board still has input signal, whether it will cause risks?

Thanks.

  • These translators support partial power down. Replace the SN74AVC4T245 with the SN74AXC4T245, which has glitch-free power sequencing (and is cheaper).

If you exceed the input transition rate (10 ns/V for the AXC), you can add buffers with Schmitt-trigger inputs (e.g., SN74AUP3G17).
