SN74LVC2T45: DIR pin pull-up to VCCB

Part Number: SN74LVC2T45

Hi all,

My customer considers to use the device with VCCA=3.3V, VCCB=5.25V.

He made prototype board and one concern is that he pulled up DIR pin to VCCB whereas datasheet states DIR pin reference to VCCA.

Is there any problem for this connection(DIR connected to 5.25V VCCB)?

Does this connection damage the device since voltage of DIR > VCCA and internal diode turn on?

Best regards,
