SN74LVC1G07: output protection

Hi Sir,

Are there any protection circuit for output pins within this device?

SN74LVC1G07DBVT is used at VCC + 3.3V in my schematic.
The pull-up resistance of the output pin side was mistaken for a 0 ohm resistor, and the output pin of pin4 and + 3.3V directly connected.
When the circuit was pull-up, the SN74LVC1G07DBVT was not broken and worked normally.
The Pin 2 input pin has a low level of + 3.3V power supply on to 2 milliseconds, and then has a high level of + 3.3 V.
Please confirm.

This device has no built-in current limiting mechanism (see section 9.2.1 of the datasheet). It is likely that the absolute maximum rating of 50 mA was exceeded.

Thank you for your response.

The current flowing through pin4 of the SN74LVC1G07DBVT is measured about 130 mA.

Since it exceeds absolute maximum rating, I expect that it is broken.

If it is broken, there will be a large current flowing through Pin 4 of the device , and will the VCC and GND get short?

It is thought that the PCB pattern might be burnt when a large current flows.

Anything might happen. In the worst case, the device is just degraded and will fail later, when you least expect it.
