SN74AVC32T245: EOL NMJ Equivalent Package

Hi folks,

I am currently using the SN74AVC32T245ZKER, however I got a notification that the package is getting EOL.

There is a NMJ package equivalent SN74AVC32T245NMJR replacing the EOL ZKE package, however there are some differences, as shown below.

The only difference I see is in the package construction on the side profil. Can you please confirm all the differences between the 2 variants?

Hi AH,

The NMJ package was developed to be a direct replacement for the ZKE package.

All of the physical differences can be seen in the mechanical drawings in the datasheet. It may help to put them side by side:

You can also see in the datasheet that the reel dimensions are identical, as is the orientation, ball material, and all other package related material specifications.

The only other notable difference is that the NMJ package has significantly improved thermal properties over the ZKE package.

Quick follow up question. For the NMJ package, customer wants to know how long the package should be expected to be available for? (SN74AVC32T245NMJR)

Are there any plans of EOL / LTB on the horizon?
