Part Number: SN74HC257
My customer is asking what the HBM value of following 3 devices.
I can't find the info in datasheet.
Could you tell me HBM value for each device and also let me know where i can find the info?
Hey Jo,Some of these older devices (two of these look to be from the 80's) so we don't have ESD values listed. I looked in our database to see if there was any information on these and I found something for CD74HC4075NS. HBM passed 1kV. The other two i'll need to make a request to have them tested. Please allow up to 2 weeks to get this information and I will keep you updated.Additionally, have you looked at P2P upgrades for these devices? For CD74HC4075 there's the SN74HCS405For SN74HC86 there's the SN74HCS86 Both will provide better performance and come with scmitt trigger inputs. They don't come in the same packages if that's a must but they are P2P devices. Thanks,Rami

Hey Jo,When ordering samples of these parts to test, there was slight confusion in the request. Could you confirm whether you're look for the SN74HC257NSR or the SN74HC257N. There is not SN74HC257NS package. Thanks,Rami
In reply to Rami Mooti1:
Thanks for confirmation.
SN74HC257NSR is correct.
I look forward to the test result.
In reply to Hung Ching Hsu:
You said CD74HC4075NS passed 1kV for HBM.
Could you share the material here?
Customer may require it.
Hey Jo,You can actually find this here in the material content search.I've linked the results for the CD74HC4075 in the 14 pin SO package (NS) hereYou can look up the other two devices in the content search then selecting the package of interest. It will take you to another page with the material information. -Rami
Thanks for the information.
I found component information but I couldn't find how much HBM is CD74HC4075 passed in this page.
Did I miss it somewhere?
No you didn't miss anything. I dig that information up in our database. Someone must have been looking for the same information some time back and ordered a tests on it and we saves the results.
Jo,The SN74HC86 and the SN74HC257 both have 2kV ESD HBM ratings.Thanks,Rami
