TXB0104-Q1: Internal protection diode

Part Number: TXB0104-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TXB0104

Is this internal protection diode to protect current flow from VCCB to VCCA supply?

So we have to supply VCCB larger than VCCA due to that diode?

Is it correct??

Or is there any reason that VCCB is larger than VCCA other than internal diode?

  • Hi Kevin,

Vcca <=Vccb is a valid condition for TXB0104 devices.

higher than Vccb would result in high current consumption through diode fwd biasing.

Refer to the app note below on biasing requirements for the TXB devices.
