SN74AVC32T245: There are any differences between LFBGA and nFBGA?

Part Number: SN74AVC32T245

Hi, I received a message a few days ago from TI that component SN74AVC32T245ZKER (LFBGA package) is going to be OBS.
So, I'm looking for an alternative to this P / N.
the recommended replacement product of TI is nFBGA Package: SN74AVC32T245NMJR.
I want to know if I can use it without doing any board design changes and if there are any differences in the footprint, pinout, or other significant differences.
Thanks a lot for the helpers.

  • Hi Daniel,

The NMJ package is designed to be a drop-in replacement for the ZKE package. It should not require any changes, but you may want to review your pad size/geometry against our recommendations for the new package (the old package did not include a recommendation).

I would expect that if you have been using the ZKE package without issues, then your pad geometry should be fine.
