Hi,

I am using a beaglebone black development board to create a robot that can be controlled through wi-fi. I saw that TI says that WL1835MOD Cape is compatible with the beaglebone and beaglebone black. However, the vendor says that it is only compatible with the beaglebone. I was hoping to get some clarification on this since on TI's wiki show how to interface with the beaglebone black. Is it compatible or not?

Hi,

WiFi is fully functional with WiLink8 on the Beagle Black.

It was built and all guidelines at http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Using_the_WL18xx_Cape_with_BeagleBone_Black

Due to some interface change there may be some comparability issues with other capes (LCD, Audio etc)

Manufacturer will update the web and we will work to fix other caps comparability on next build.

Standalone cape with Wilink will work with no issues when following build guidelines.

Daniel,

Are you saying that if one uses Beagle Black with the WiLink8 cape *ONLY* that it will work?
How about the Bluetooth portion? Will that work too?
