IAR

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2540, CC-DEBUGGER, BLE-STACK, Z-STACK

Have been wondering with just the CC2540EMK, a CC-Debugger and IAR embedded workbench, if I need more than 30 days to work on my project, is there any solution around that 30 days for the IAR embedded workbench? How have all of you been working on your CC2540 project? Do I necessary have to use IAR embedded workbench as the guide says? Is there other alternative?

I'm currently just a student doing my honours project and could not just work on the project full time and achieve what I need in 30 days.

  • Hi Daniel,

Well, if the guide says explicitly IAR, then it must be IAR and nothing else. Though I don't know

about BLE-Stack, in Z-stack for cc253x devices there are a pre-compiled (with IAR) libraries,

therefore using an IAR is a must.

You can extend this 30 free trial to a 60 days by registration with a new mail account and working

    on another PC

  • In addition to Igor's suggestion: Being a student, you could try to contact IAR and ask for a student licence or to get an additional extension to your current license.
