Hi, we are designing Modular rack based system using Sitara AM243X based CPU's we are planning for Dual ethernet backplane interface from master to slave communication as defined in images attached, kindly suggest us the transceivers have to be used and node limitations, type of interface such as MII, RMII,etc for functional safety acheivement.

Hi Mohamed,

I propose following parts depending on the speed requirements.

1. DP83826E : 100Base-TX/10Base-Te, RMII and MII interface

2. DP83867, DP83869 : For 1000Base-T/100Base-TX/10Base-Te. MAC i/f : RGMII, SGMII

Dear sir,

Thanks for your suggestion.

This reply didn't solved my full queries.

Kindly suggest, On using 'N' numbers of nodes in backplane communication of using ethernet, what are all the challenges,( Example : Ethernet IP restrictions), we may get ? For which what are all the solutions we have to go with, such as interface types,etc.

Please address my query as the priority.

Hi sir,

Regarding my previous post (query), please find the requirements below,

1) Weather AM2434 can be used with NO RTOS mode based ethernet communication.

2) If so, in ALV package , of AM2434 ,shall we use R50_0,1 & R51_0,1 can we use 2+2 = 4 industrial ethernet interface for my application, which should be independent to each others

query on general:

1) We are new to AM2434 SDK , is it possible that , TI can arrange any class for exploring AM2434 SDK.

Yes, Enet lld in MCU+ SDK used on AM243x supports NO RTOS mode. Currently, the examples in SDK with LwIP uses RTOS but you can modify it to support the NO RTOS.

We don't support usage of Ethernet peripherals from multiple cores. You will need to use only one core to control Industrial ethernet interface.

Can you please have a look at the AM243x MCU academy? It is intended for very same purpose of walking you through small simple steps in getting started with our SDK.
