Hi,

My customer is debugging SafeTI Diagnostic library demo code on RM57L HDK.

According to below thread, after _SL_Kickoff_STC_execution(), CPU should be reset:

But when customer put a breakpoint at SL_Init_R5Registers() which is at the beginning of _c_int00, code does not stop there.
The code is HL_sys_startup.c in below folder.
\ti\Hercules\SafeTI Diagnostic Library\2.4.0\demo_app\HALCoGen\RM57L843_NoOS\source

I think above E2E thread also discussed this point, but there seems no conclusion provided.

Hi Koichiro,

Is the interrupt enabled before you performing the LBIST? This is the description from ARM Arch manual: ARM DDI0406C

You need to disable the interrupt.

As I mentioned, customer uses TI sample code.
Starting from HL_sys_startup.c then _SL_Kickoff_STC_execution() is callled from sl_slselftest.c.
Do you mean interrupt is not disabled in TI code and customer needs to disable it manually?
If so, could you tell me how to do that in the sample code?

Hi Koichiro,

I just run the example project on my RM57Lx launchpad, the LBIST can generate CPU reset.

The only change is that I added a while() to stop the code execution so that I know if there is a CPU reset.

This is not the same result customer got on HDK.
Are there any differences between launchpad and HDK?
Can you try on HDK?

I run the test on RM57Lx HDK, and the CPU reset is generated after CPU self-test and STC self-check:
