RM57L843: Errata DEVICE#56

Hi,

Please clarify the workaround for Errata Device#56.

My customer observes CPU compare error a lot under debug.
esm1_stat2 : 00000004

According to errata document, just writing 0x5 to ESMEKR and ignore nERROR pin is enough.
We do not need to take other actions such as clearing ESMSR2?

Hi Koichiro,

This issue only happens immediately upon the debugger is connected. Otherwise, the error (ESM 2.2) is caused by CPU lockstep, or CCM selftest.

If it is caused by debugger, clearing the ESMSR2 and writing 0x5 to ESMEKR to clear nError pin are enough.

Do you mean ESMSR2 also needs to be cleared?
Just writing 0x5 to ESMEKR as errata workaround is not enough.

Hi Koichiro,

Writing 0x5 to ESMEKR can release the ESM error pin back to normal state. But the error flag at ESM 2.2 is not cleared. Writing 2 to ESMSR2 and ESMSSR2 will clear the fags.
