TM4C1290NCZAD: TM4C1290NCZAD

Part Number: TM4C1290NCZAD

Main crystal oscillator 23768 stopped working. There us 0V voltage on both shunt capacitors. 16 MHz oscillator is working. Shunt capacitors seems OK. Board consumes 175 ma from 12 V power supply compared to 150 mA for the known good board. Solders for capacitors and crystals looks good. It is difficult to verify solders for pad T18,T19 of the processor, because processor is BGA device. How to debug it?

  • Hello Oleh,

I think you mean the 32.768kHz crystal for the hibernation module then?

How many boards are exhibiting this behavior?

Do you have any details about what the system was doing when the failure occurred?

Also have you tried swapping the crystal out for a new one?

    Best Regards,

    Ralph Jacobi
