STELLARIS_ICDI_DRIVERS: Drivers not working on windows 11

Part Number: STELLARIS_ICDI_DRIVERS

Hi Team,

Our customer is trying to install drivers on windows 11. hew downloaded new drivers for the TM4c123GHPM from this link: https://www.ti.com/tool/STELLARIS_ICDI_DRIVERS however, the drivers didn't work. Windows encountered an error while attempting to install the stellaris icdi jtag/swd interface.

Is this driver not compatible with windows 11?

Thanks for the help

Regards,

Marvin

  • Hello Marvin,

That very well could be possible, they have not been tested for Windows 11. I personally don't have access to a Windows 11 machine to test this myself and I am not sure if Windows changed anything regarding the requirements for drivers from Windows 10 to Windows 11.

I will need to do some leg work to see what capabilities we have to test this or make any adjustments - these drivers have not been updated in a good while. For now our recommendation will have to be to use Windows 10 in the near term until we have a solution for Windows 11.

    Best Regards,

  • Hello Marvin,

I was asking around about this a little today and got the impression that Windows 10 drivers typically work for Windows 11 too. How are they trying to install the driver?

It also looks like they have a working ICDI driver possibly too? There seems to be one above that doesn't have a warning sign?

  • Hi Ralph,

Thank you for doing some leg work regarding this. I will get back to you once I received relevant information from the customer.
